About me
I’m Zoë Alessandro.
Hello. I’m a photographer based near Amersfoort in the Netherlands, and I also make websites. The photographs you see here and the site you’re browsing are both my work.
I work in Dutch and English.
What I make
Showing you what I see.
What I love about photography is being able to show someone how I see a subject. The angle, the light and the edit all play a part. You can see that in my BMW M4 series: the same car, in three edited settings. The car stays the same, but each image feels different.

Photography & design
I built this website, too.
A photographer needs somewhere to show their work. For me, that place also became a design project: this website. I brought my photographs, writing and background together, then built the pages in English and Dutch. The large images, quiet colours and separate photo series are choices you can explore for yourself.
See how I built this websiteThat way of looking also shaped a design I made around a photography enquiry. “I’d like photos of my car” is a start. What are the images for, and what mood do you have in mind? I worked through how a message like that could lead to a personal reply.

Experience as a building inspector.
Working as a building inspector taught me to look beyond what I could see at first glance. Recording a defect is one thing; understanding why it is there matters just as much. Often, that why is where the problem lies. I bring that habit of asking another question to my photography and website work, too.
I worked with NEN 2767, carried out residential measurements using NEN 2580 and completed the Integraal Woning Inspecteur (IWI) course. My certification has since expired. My services here now focus on photography and websites; I don’t offer building inspections.

Tell me what you have in mind.
You might already have a location for a shoot, or just the beginnings of a website idea. Either is a good place to start. Tell me what you’re thinking, and we can talk about what it needs and what I can make for you.
